Concrete Safety Manager 30-Hour Class

 

Local legislation now requires proper training of scaffold use and operation as well as 10 hour OSHA courses for all construction workers. Construction & Realty Safety Group is proud to present the Construction Safety Conservatory-its educational arm to perform all required training for construction workers and organizations. Throughout its affiliates with approved entities and its own staff team of OSHA trainers, The Construction Safety Conservatory offers.

 

 

10 Hour OSHA Class

Developed by the US Department of Labor to provide attendees with an awareness of safety & health concerns particular to the construction industry. Attendees discuss & review standard construction safety & health principles and receive information that is geared to prepare them to recognize and control a variety of hazardous conditions.

 

 

16-Hour User Suspended Scaffold

 

Per chapter 9 of the rules of the city of New York, revised as of 4/1/08, individuals working on or operating suspension scaffolds must successfully complete a NYC Department of Buildings approved 16-Hour user training course. There is a written & hands-on exam that must be passed with a grade of 70% or higher to be eligible to receive the course completion card. Also, as of 4/08, all training providers have been required to submit advance notification of their intent to hold this training program. Therefore, ALL registration must take place 2 weeks before the event and all participants must be able to provide valid picture ID to be eligible to complete the course.

 

 

32-Hour Erection Dismantler Supported Scaffold Program

 

Per local law 52, any person who erects, dismantles, repais, maintains, or modifies any supported scaffold over 40 feet must complete this training program. This intensive hands-on program covers NYC Building Codes, basic scaffold math & engineers concepts and in-depth reviews of hazard & control measures associated with scaffold certificate of training verifying completion of the program. An 8-hour refresher course must be completed every 4 years to maintain certification.

 

 

32-Hour Rigging/Foreman Scaffold

 

As of January 1, 2009, the NYC Department of Buildings will require a Concrete Safety manager for all construction sites where a minimum of 2000 cubic yards of concrete will be poured.

 

 

4-Hour User Supported Scaffold

 

As per chapter 9 of the rules of the City of New York, revised as of 4/1/08, the NYC Department of Buildings is now requiring that individuals who are licensed riggers or company designated foreman successfully complete this 32-hour course inclusive of a vastly expanded hands-on training curriculum. There is a written and hands-on exam that must be passed with a grade of 70% or higher to receive scaffold certification. Also, as of 4/08, all training providers have been required to submit advance notification of their intent to hold this training program. Therefore, ALL registration must take place at least 2 weeks before the event and all participants must be able to provide valid picture ID to be eligible to complete the course.

 

 

40-Hour Site Safety Manager Program

 

The course focuses on safety requirements of Article 19 of Title C of the Administrative Code Safety of Public and Property During Construction Operations. Topics such as excavation, erection, alteration, repair, removal, and demolition as it relates to rules and regulations governing safety at construction sites in NYC are also addressed. New for 2008, Rule 48 requires that all new buildings and demolition projects up to and including 14 stories will need to be supervised by a registered Construction Superintendent. Carpenters, mason, or building inspectors must complete the 40 Hour course to satisfy the education requirements set forth by the NYC Department of Buildings to register as a Construction Superintendent. Eligible participants will receive certificate of completion from CR Safety Group for the 40 hour program.

 

 

7-Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher Course

 

The NYC Site Safety Managers Refresher program provided by Constructions & Realty Safety Group is an all inclusive program that allows you to complete just 7 hours of continuing education required every 3 years to renew your site safety manager’s license. Just bring your one color passport photo and we’ll take it from there! Students will receive a course completion certificate at the conclusion of the training. Course fee does not include DOB license renewal fee. Courses can be offered at your facility of job site for a minimum of fifteen individuals. Mr. Asaro has over 28 years of professional experience in the building and construction industry including management of NYC major buildings. Site safety manager, construction superintendent and labor foreman. He holds a number of additional certifications including the 4 Hour Supported user certification and the FDNY- F93 Fire Guard C of F.

Mr. Cattafi has over 35 years of professional experience in the building and construction industry including management of the NYC major buildings, construction superintendent, project manager, construction manager, site safety manager, safety director, and consultant. He holds a number of additional certifications including the 4 Hour Supported and 16 Hour Suspended Scaffold user certifications, and the FDNY S-56.
